Death is a troubling fact of life that we all have to deal with at some point or another. That one day we die, and we do not know what happens after, and that’s not a bad thing.
Pet Sematary presents the idea to audiences that what if death was not the end of life, but could potentially lead to something much worse if not given the proper respect it deserves.
Though I can’t fault the film for its performances, of which most are outstanding, I can criticise its anticlimactic final act and its atrocious trailer. If you’ve seen the trailer you’ve seen the whole film, there is nothing left to show.
That being said the film is worth watching for fans of horror, as well as being a faithful yet updated adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name. Just avoid the trailer if you can.
