Interstellar, like 2001: A Space Odyssey is an adventure epic that transcends time and space. It’s an edge of your seat thrill from start to finish, even in spite of its long runtime.
My biggest issue however lies not with the ending, or the physics bending plot conveniences, or even the questionable character motivations like some people, but instead the amazing soundtrack by Hans Zimmer...it’s just too damn loud. Poor mixing means that often you can’t hear what people are saying because the score is overpowering the scene and that is an unforgivable mistake unlike the aforementioned issues which can be looked past with the suspension of disbelief.
Overall though Interstellar is mesmerising and one of the greatest modern sci-fi films, so happy I had the chance to see it the way Christopher Nolan had envisioned it.
