"He who controls the spice, controls the universe." - Baron Vladimir Harkonnen
In 1965 Frank Herbert pushed science fiction into a new era with the release of Dune. An epic tale of noble houses and their battles over the planet of Arrakis, and its priceless resource Spice Melange. Dune would pave the way for science-fiction to explore new frontiers, laying the groundwork for franchises such as Star Trek and Star Wars.
Herbert would write six Dune novels before his death in 1986 (although new novels continue to be published to this day), and over the years there have been multiple adaptations to the big and small screens. Collected here are my reviews for Herbert's original six novels, as well as their film adaptations.
